Tobias Jelinek's acting career began at age two playing a stagehand for his parents' Old West photo booth at carnivals across the country. At age six his family settled in Santa Barbara to open a Waldorf School with a group of bohemian parents interested in giving their children a creative hands-on education. He landed the role of Wicked Witch in his first grade's production of Sleeping Beauty and has been drawn to villains and eccentric characters ever since.
After spending his childhood and adolescence in Santa Barbara's community theatre Tobias made a film debut in Disney's Hocus Pocus as Jay, the town bully. He continued acting in theatre and film while earning a B.A. in Visual Storytelling at Bennington College. In New York he worked with curators of the Whitney and Guggenheim museums and produced an independent feature about hopping trains through small town americana in the south and southwest.
In 2005 he returned to Los Angeles for the unparalleled opportunity it offers actors and story-makers. For the past year he has starred in the critically acclaimed show Point Break Live! as surfer and bank robber Bodhi/ Patrick Swayze. He is co-owner of the fashion/lifestyle boutique YOUNG & JELINEK.
